The holiday season is upon us. It's a time filled with festive celebrations, and the good company of family and friends. It is also the perfect moment to take pause and reflect on the past year, to for me to celebrate our community and all that we have done to make 2023 so memorable.
Our schools continue to work ha d to ensure that each and every one of our students receives what they so rightfully deserve: rigorous and relevant learning experiences that prepare them to be the strong, successful, and significant leaders we know they are and will continue to be.
To our district office staff: Thank you for your unwavering commitment to grow a community of leaders in service of our scholars.You are truly my DREAM TEAM!
To our school communities: Principals, Assistant Principals, teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff (parent coordinators, social workers, school counselors, deans, service providers, school aides etc.) thank you for all you've done in service of our scholars. You are on the front lines, the first kind face a child encounters in our system. As we work to implement shared curriculum across our 19 schools, I thank you for your thoughtful planning and delivery of quality learning experiences that best engage our scholars and promote their success each and ever day. We appreciate your voice and advocacy for the children of Bushwick.
To our students: YOU are each brilliant and amazing and capable of success and significance - NO EXCEPTIONS! I'm touched by your insight and how much you care about your community and the world around us whenever I have the privilege of speaking with you. Your mind and your voice are powerful! Use it! You are our future. Dream big, work hard and give back. Know we are cheering for you at every step.
To our families: Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious treasure each and everyday. Continue to connect with us. We are here to support you to cultivate optimal successful learning spaces both at home and at school for all the children we serve.
To our community: Thank you to the CEC, CB4, Bushwick Community Partnerships, Presidents' Council, TENT Organization, Selah City Church, Bethel Evangelical Church. Elevated Youth, 83rd Precinct, and all our Elected Officials that support District 32, for your continued support. We are indebted to the various local leaders and organizations who have offered to partner with us to serve our scholars and families in bigger and better ways. We look forward to our continued efforts to serve our community together.
